The Solution

Compact Strength and Cardio for a County Jail

A county recreation space benefits from a versatile strength station paired with low-impact cardio. Outdoor-Fit supplied: Apollo Multigym and Everest Cardio Climber.

The equipment also ships with full-color instructional placards — step-by-step technique, safety best practices, and clear illustrations for visual learners — and Outdoor-Fit’s structured programming lets staff run guided fitness classes as a positive-behavior incentive, so inmates of any experience level can train correctly and independently, with minimal staff involvement.

Apollo Multigym

Apollo Multigym is an eight-station correctional multigym for five users and 75+ exercises, pairing bodyweight stations (chin/dip bars with assist, plyo box, back extension, knee raise, calf-raise step) with a high/low pulley and a 100 lb selectorized stack adjustable 10-100 lb. The pop-pin rides in a security track; staff can lock or disable it. ADA-accessible.

Everest Cardio Climber

Everest Cardio Climber is a single-user, cadence-powered stair climber offering strength- or cardio-focused modes with no electronics or external resistance, so intensity is set by the user's stroke and pace. Developed with the Kinesiology department at Dalhousie University for biomechanically sound movement; tamperproof and weather-resistant for high-frequency use.

Jail Gym Equipment FAQs — Guthrie County

Pairing the Apollo Multigym with Everest Cardio Climber gives inmates both strength training and low-impact cardiovascular conditioning in a compact area — a well-rounded program from two secure, tamperproof stations.

Yes. The weather-resistant steel and finishes withstand repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and comparable installs operate in facilities with winters reaching −40°C. There are no electronics to fail in the cold.

Both have a few moving parts — the Apollo Multigym’s pulley system and the Everest Cardio Climber’s stroke assembly — so they benefit from regular checks of the structure, hardware and those moving components. A quick weekly look-over is enough in busier areas.

Yes. Together, the Apollo Multigym and Everest Cardio Climber cover both strength and low-impact cardio in a compact footprint, both handle more than one user, and neither asks for much servicing — which makes the two a practical combination for a smaller county jail.
