The Solution

Safe, Multi-User Training for Youth in Custody

Youth facilities need equipment engineered for proper form and safety with no removable parts. Outdoor-Fit supplied two multi-user multigyms rated for ages 13+: Apollo Multigym and Helios Multigym.

The equipment also ships with full-color instructional placards — step-by-step technique, safety best practices, and clear illustrations for visual learners — and Outdoor-Fit’s structured programming lets staff run guided fitness classes as a positive-behavior incentive, so inmates of any experience level can train correctly and independently, with minimal staff involvement.

Apollo Multigym

Apollo Multigym is an eight-station correctional multigym for five users and 75+ exercises, pairing bodyweight stations (chin/dip bars with assist, plyo box, back extension, knee raise, calf-raise step) with a high/low pulley and a 100 lb selectorized stack adjustable 10-100 lb. The pop-pin rides in a security track; staff can lock or disable it. ADA-accessible.

Helios Multigym

Helios Multigym is a six-station correctional multigym for up to four users and 50+ bodyweight exercises, featuring chin-up and dip stations with Outdoor-Fit's chin/dip assist mechanism so all fitness levels can train, plus a plyo box, back extension, knee raise, and calf-raise step. Heavy-duty steel with tamperproof hardware and instructional placards.

Juvenile Detention Gym Equipment FAQs

Yes. Every Outdoor-Fit exercise equipment unit is rated for ages 13 and up and designed to guide users into correct form. There are no removable parts to misuse, and the built-in assist mechanisms help smaller or less experienced residents train safely.

Regular, structured exercise gives residents a healthy outlet and a positive daily routine, which supports both physical and mental wellbeing during their stay. Access to quality equipment can also work as an incentive for good behaviour, reinforcing the centre’s developmental and rehabilitative goals.

Yes. Adjustable resistance and the chin/dip assist mechanism put exercises like pull-ups and dips within reach of residents who couldn’t manage them on standard equipment — so everyone can take part, whatever their starting point.

The Apollo Multigym supports up to five users at once and the Helios Multigym up to four, so several residents can train together under supervision — useful in a secure juvenile setting.

No. Full-color instructional placards walk residents through each movement, so they can train correctly and largely on their own, with staff overseeing rather than coaching.
